​Payroll and Accounts Payable - Administrative Assistant
​The Payroll and Accounts Payable - Administrative Assistant is an outgoing, charismatic
individual that works closely with Spirit of the Sun’s Human Resources Coordinator, Grant
Writer, Executive Director, Director of Operations, and bookkeeper to ensure the timely and
accurate processing of payroll and financial tasks. The position requires proficiency in Gusto,
Aplos, and Google Workspace, as well as strong communication skills through Slack, Google
Meet, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams. This position will process bi-weekly payroll and perform light
accounts payable tasks. This part-time role will work primarily remotely, with a required
presence at weekly Wednesday morning team meetings. The position will uphold the highest
standards of confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism and maintain excellent customer
service etiquette.
Volunteer & Community Engagement Coordinator
The Volunteer & Community Engagement Coordinator plays a dual role in fostering meaningful relationships between Spirit of the Sun (SOTS), its volunteers, and the broader community. This part-time, primarily remote position requires a passionate individual based in Denver, Colorado, who is committed to strengthening community ties and creating meaningful volunteer experiences that align with SOTS’s mission. This role focuses on recruiting, training, and managing volunteers, coordinating community engagement opportunities, and ensuring both volunteers and community members are empowered to contribute to and benefit from SOTS’s programs, particularly food share and agriculture initiatives.
